Prior to Streetlight Mr. Kahn was the founder of Hexagon Real Estate LLC, an investor in industrial, healthcare, residential and retail real estate in the East Coast and Hexagon Hospitality LLC, an active investor in the restaurant industry.

Mitch was also the founder and senior partner of Hexagon Securities LLC, a credit focused investment bank. At Hexagon Securities, Mr. Kahn focused on representing a variety of financial institutions in transactions involving their buyback of illiquid debt instruments issued into structured investment vehicles.

Prior to Hexagon Securities, Mitch was the Co-President of RAIT Financial Trust (NYSE: RAS), a mortgage REIT active in investing in a variety of real estate and structured credit investment asset classes and President and a founder of Tabema Securities LLC, a broker-dealer specializing in transactions involving real estate companies and President and founder of Tabema Capital Management LLC, as asset manager of securities issued by REIT’s and real estate operating companies.

Mr. Kahn was also the President of Tabema Realty Finance Trust, a specialty finance REIT, the leading provider of corporate-level unsecured debt capital to REITs and other real estate companies in the form of trust preferred securities and subordinated notes, lending approximately $5.5 billion.

Prior to Tabema, Mitch was a managing director at Cohen & Company and an associate at Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft LLP and an associate at K&L Gates

Mitch received a J.D., with honors, from the George Washington University and received a B.A. in philosophy, magna cum laude, at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Mr. Kahn is currently licensed to practice law in New York and Delaware.
